Lobster Fishing

The lobster fishing season starts every autumn and lasts until the end of December. At Villa Marstrand, this is a sure sign of autumn – a tradition we are proud to uphold. We are one of the largest players in Bohuslän, with classic fishing boats and experienced crews who will take you on a genuine lobster adventure. During the trip, you will head out to sea, pull up the traps, and hear the captain's stories and tips about the exciting world of lobster fishing.

The waters around Marstrand are known for their fantastic lobster fishing, and here some of the country's most skilled fishermen work. During the excursion, you can enjoy the beautiful archipelago and get close to the fascinating hunt for "the black gold of the sea." No prior experience is necessary – we will guide you all the way. You will get to try lifting the traps, cleaning them (hopefully with lobster inside!), and re-baiting before they are lowered again.

A new feature for the season is our lobster aquarium down by the dock, where you can choose your own lobster, which we will then cook right after the trip.

Our lobster packages include the fishing trip, accommodation in our modern studios, lunch, afternoon coffee, and a four-course lobster dinner or a seafood platter with fresh lobster. The next day, a delicious breakfast buffet awaits.

Marstrand is located close to both Gothenburg and Landvetter, making it easy to reach for an extraordinary experience. End the day with a fantastic lobster dinner and stay comfortably right by the water on Marstrand Island. A memory for a lifetime in Bohuslän's magical archipelago!
